Everything here comes from Rockstar Games' own announcements or Take-Two investor communications — no leaks, no speculation. Last verified July 10, 2026.
When does GTA VI come out?
Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar confirmed the date in a Newswire post on November 6, 2025 and Take-Two has since called it locked in.
Is GTA VI coming to PC?
Not announced. As of July 2026 there is no official PC version, window, or plan — "early 2027" figures circulating online are extrapolations from how GTA V and RDR2 ports were timed, not Rockstar statements.
How much does GTA VI cost?
Standard Edition $79.99, Ultimate Edition $99.99 (exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel and extra missions). Only those two editions exist — no Collector's Edition has been announced. Anything bought before November 20, 2026 includes the free Vintage Vice City Pack.
Can I preorder GTA VI?
Yes. Preorders opened worldwide on June 25, 2026 for both platforms — details in the Rockstar Newswire announcement.
How many times has GTA VI been delayed?
Twice. Originally windowed for Fall 2025, it moved to May 26, 2026 (announced May 2, 2025), then to the final date of November 19, 2026 (announced November 6, 2025 — "these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve"). Take-Two says the date won't move again.
How many trailers are out?
Two: Trailer 1 (December 4, 2023) — the most-watched game reveal ever at launch — and Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025), which hit ~475M views across platforms in 24 hours. Both are on Rockstar's official YouTube channel. Trailer 3 has not been released as of July 10, 2026; any date you see for it is a rumor.
How does this countdown work?
Rockstar hasn't announced a release hour, so the timer counts to midnight US Eastern — Vice City's own timezone — on November 19, 2026. We'll adjust the target the moment an official unlock time exists.
How does the news ticker work?
The ticker is refreshed automatically every two hours by a Buddy pipeline that reads the official Rockstar Newswire plus the GTA VI coverage of major gaming outlets (Kotaku, PC Gamer, GamesRadar). Before anything is published, an AI curation step (Claude) filters the batch to keep it strictly about the game: release info, trailers, editions, gameplay details. Studio drama, layoff coverage, shopping guides and opinion pieces don't make the cut — negative news is fine, but only when it's news about the game itself.
Items straight from Rockstar are outlined in the logo gradient and badged Rockstar, so official word is always distinguishable from press coverage at a glance. Every headline links to its original source.
